Vacation with your dog at Wolfgangsee

At check-in, water and a welcome treat are already waiting for our animal guests. Mick Jagger, our dog, greets the dog vacationers with his own welcome card, where he briefly explains the rules of conduct in our region and gives tips on the surrounding area.

For our guests on 4 paws we also provide our “doggy all in” package for their stay: Dog bed, dog bowls, eco poop bag, a dog shampoo (from be soap my friend) and vegan treats.

The 2 rooms on the upper floor have fenced green terraces. The 2 apartments on the first floor have access to our garden. (This is not fenced, but you can of course move with your dog in the whole garden – please with a leash).

Around our house there are countless hiking and walking possibilities. There are beautiful streams and creek pools nearby where the dog can refresh himself and you can reach them on foot in about 10 to 15 minutes.

We are very happy to advise you and can also give you tips on which hikes eg: Streams are nearby etc.

Dog training, walking service and any other requests we can book for you with prior notice – just let us know! We are in contact with two great dog trainers that we can request from.

Swimming with your dog

CAMPING APPESBACH: All our guests, especially those with dogs, receive vouchers for the day entrance to Camping Appesbach. Here, in addition to a small boat, canoe and sup rental, a restaurant, snack bars, toilet facilities and a sunbathing lawn await you.

Distance from Balthasar Volcano: 2.2 km

SECRET SPOTS: Micki knows the best swimming spots around our house. After a short walk (about 10minutes) you will reach his absolute favorite place. A stream surrounded by peace, forest and nature. We will gladly explain the way :)

What you and your four-legged friend should know when staying at Lake Wolfgangsee

A Wolfgangsee vacation with dog in our Eco Studios is a wonderful experience at any time of the year.

Dogs who love swimming, as well as their families, can take a cool dip in the lake and streams and really unwind during walks and hikes. When hiking, keep in mind that some cows may still be on the mountain pastures until the beginning of October.

In winter you can go on many hikes with the dog over hill and dale or extensive snow fields. In very cold winters, the lake freezes over and becomes a great playground for you and your dog.

If you want to spend carefree vacations with your beloved four-legged friend in a vacation apartment at Lake Wolfgang, you should follow a few simple rules.

Here are our tips:

A leash is compulsory at the Wolfgangsee (a muzzle is compulsory in public transport). Even if your dog follows very well, this must be observed. In case of non-compliance, you can expect a fine or some disputes with residents.

♥ Please clear away your dog’s “pile” and dispose of this in the designated waste bin.

♥ Do not forget to muzzle when traveling by ship or train, otherwise you may not be taken along.

♥ In most restaurants it is allowed to bring the dog, but please still check with the waiter when you enter the restaurant.

Fees for pets at Balthasar Volcano

Dogs are welcome and can be booked on request.

We take the liberty to charge 20 € per night if stay with us with your dog.

Additional info: In St. Wolfgang leashes are compulsory. You will certainly hear our Mick, Australian Shep(Kleff)herd, from time to time (a “loudmouth” like his namesake Mick Jagger). But you will never find him unobserved or off leash. This is what we would like to see from our four-legged visitors as well, please.
